Notifications
What Nabbed tells you about, who gets each notification, and where it can reach you.
Nabbed tells you when something is ready, when something needs you, and when something breaks: a film is ready to watch, a download stalled, an agent went offline. Every notification lands in the notification centre in the web app. It can also be emailed to you, or posted to your household's Discord server.
What Nabbed notifies about

The requester is the member who asked for the film or episode. When nobody did, for example when Nabbed grabs a new episode of a series it monitors, or when that member has left the household, the owner and admins get it instead. For Ready to watch, everyone in the household does.
A few more rules keep the noise down:
- Agent back online, Download source recovered and Agent notice resolved only follow a problem you were told about. An agent that drops out for a minute sends nothing either way.
- Member joined isn't sent to the person who joined.
- Several episodes of one series that are grabbed, stall, fail to import or become ready within half an hour are grouped into one notification while it's unread, such as "8 new episodes of Slow Horses are ready".
The notification centre
The bell in the top bar shows a dot when you have unread notifications. Open it to see the latest, Mark all read, or View all notifications.
The Notifications page lists everything sent to you. Filter it by category (Downloads, Library, Agents, Household, Billing) or show only Unread. Opening a notification marks it read and takes you to the film, series or setting it's about. You can also mark one read or delete it without opening it.
Every notification sent to you appears here, whatever your other settings. The notification centre can't be switched off.
Channels
Outside the web app, notifications reach you through channels. There are two kinds:
- Personal channels are yours, such as your email. You choose which events reach them, and you only get the notifications sent to you.
- Household channels are shared, such as a Discord channel the Nabbed bot posts to. Owners and admins add them and choose what's posted. Everyone in the household can see them in settings, and everyone who can read the channel sees the posts. Billing is never posted to a household channel.
All of this lives in Settings → Notifications, in three tabs:
- My notifications: your email, and which events reach it.
- Household channels: the household's Discord channels.
- Delivery log: what was sent, what wasn't, and why.
